LINE COOK - JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Reports to the Kitchen Manager

  • Responsible for preparing, cooking, and reheating food for service

  • Set up and restock stations with all necessary supplies

  • Maintain station cleanliness 

  • Ability to communicate needs and updates to restaurant staff

  • Ensure food comes out simultaneously in high quality and in a timely fashion

  • Ability to multitask efficiently

  • Knowledge or ability to learn cooking methods and how to use kitchen equipment and appliances

  • Knowledge or ability to learn proper cooking temperatures for food items

  • Operate in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines for catering orders

  • Observant to depleting food items needing to be replaced

  • Carefully plate presentable finished dishes and wipe away any drips or messes for neatness

  • Prepare station for incoming shift

  • Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time

  • Can lift up to 50 pounds

  • Maintain professional appearance and behavior in the open front kitchen and enclosed back kitchen
