LINE COOK - JOB DESCRIPTION
Reports to the Kitchen Manager
Responsible for preparing, cooking, and reheating food for service
Set up and restock stations with all necessary supplies
Maintain station cleanliness
Ability to communicate needs and updates to restaurant staff
Ensure food comes out simultaneously in high quality and in a timely fashion
Ability to multitask efficiently
Knowledge or ability to learn cooking methods and how to use kitchen equipment and appliances
Knowledge or ability to learn proper cooking temperatures for food items
Operate in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines for catering orders
Observant to depleting food items needing to be replaced
Carefully plate presentable finished dishes and wipe away any drips or messes for neatness
Prepare station for incoming shift
Ability to stand and move around for long periods of time
Can lift up to 50 pounds
Maintain professional appearance and behavior in the open front kitchen and enclosed back kitchen
