KITCHEN MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Reports to the General Manager

  • Must have previous experience as a Restaurant/General Manager, Kitchen Manager, or Chef

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role

  • Recruit and train kitchen staff on prep work, cooking, and food plating

  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to accurately follow recipes

  • Schedule kitchen staff shifts

  • Coordinate and execute catering orders with Catering Manager

  • Store food products in compliance with safety and health practices

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

  • Maintain weekly/monthly cost reports

  • Establish portion sizes

  • Order food and kitchen supplies as needed, and monitor inventory levels

  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills

  • Great conflict management skills
